The Ethnographic Museum, formerly the National Museum of Rwanda, is a national museum in Rwanda. It is located in Butare. It is owned by Institute of National Museums of Rwanda. It was built with help of the Belgian government and opened in 1989
Itinary
early morning after your breakfast or with your packed breakfast you will be picked up by our driver guide(company representative) and therefore you will be transfered to the south province of rwanda where you will visit the kings palace located in nyanza where you will have a traditional experience and cultural history of how late kings of Rwanda lived and as well get a chance to visit some of there early houses and different tools used at that period in there daily life. you will also get the chance to see our royal cows (inyambo cows) and listen different myths and poem sited by local people and other trained personel. you will therefore be transfered to butare city for the cultural museum where you will be guided and explained more of our cultural history and events. after you will choose any restaurant in the city and have a lunch offered on board by our company then head back to kigali where you will be droped off at the hotel or other place you will be staying.
